Butterfly Keyboard (2015–2019)
The butterfly keyboard reduced key travel for thinner MacBooks but was prone to failure due to dust and debris, leading to unresponsive or repeating keys. Apple eventually replaced it with a more reliable scissor-switch keyboard.
Flexgate (2016–2017)
