DO I NEED AN APPOINTMENT TO BRING IN MY DEVICE FOR REPAIR?
Yes. Since we perform On-Site Services there may be times where we are not present to intake your computer. Just give us a call or submit a ticket and we'll call you. Intakes usually take 15 to 20 minutes to discuss the issue and fill out the necessary paperwork.
DO YOU PERFORM WORK FOR BUSINESSES?
Yes, we support small to medium sized businesses in all of their technology needs. We can do everything from the ground up or we can maintain your current devices and network.
WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING WITH ME WHEN DROPPING OFF MY DEVICE?
In most cases all we need is the computer and the Power Cord or AC Adapter. If you are having issues with a peripheral device such as an external hard drive or speakers you should bring those as well.
If your computer has a PIN or Password to login, we will need that information to service the computer. If you'd like your password changed once services are completed, we'd be happy to walk you through this process before you leave with your repaired device.
If any software applications will be installed you will need to provide the necessary License Keys or Account Information. For instance, most Security Vendors have a Customer Portal which is accessed with the clients User Name and Password. You can provide us with this information instead of digging through drawers trying to find an installation disc.
HOW MUCH DO YOU CHARGE TO LOOK AT MY DEVICE AND TELL ME WHAT'S WRONG WITH IT?
Our Diagnostic Fee is $40.00 or $60.00 depending on the device. A knowledgeable technician gut instinct is usually right but some underlaying issues take testing to uncover. We'd rather fix your device right the first time then have you come back as an unhappy customer. Diagnostics typically takes less than two business day to complete depending on the number of devices we have on our bench. We will provide a Service Report of our findings and the total cost of repair via e-mail. If repairs are desired the Diagnostic Fee goes toward the additional labor repairs.
DO YOU REPAIR SMART PHONES?
Yes, we perform several types of repairs on mobile devices. Depending on your device model we may have the parts in stock or we may need to order them. In most cases we can have parts in hand within two days.
DO YOU SERVICE MACS?
Yes! We support both Apple Hardware and Apple Software. We are no longer an Apple Authorized Repair Center as this certification limits the number of older devices that we can service. However, if your device comes into our shop and falls under an Apple Recall where the repair would be cheaper if the repair is performed by Apple's Depot Service, we'll let you know.
DO YOU SERVICE OLDER DEVICES INCLUDING THOSE WITH WINDOWS XP OR WINDOWS 7?
Yes, we understand there are certain legacy software applications and hardware that simply are not supported by newer Operating Systems. We do however remind our clients to keep these older Operating Systems disconnected from the network for security reasons.
DO YOU MAKE HOUSE CALLS OR COME TO BUSINESS LOCATIONS?
Yes, we can provide On-Site Service at your home or business. It is advised to check what our hourly rate is and describe your problem. In many instances repairs done at our shop cost the client less money.
We cover most of the Piedmont Triad, including Stokes, Forsyth, Surry and Yadkin Counties. Our trip fee is based on mileage. If you would like to know what your trip charge would be simply calculate the total round trip distance and multiply by 75¢.
HOW LONG WILL THE REPAIR TAKE?
It depends on the issue (and how busy we are) but most repairs are done within 1-3 business days and sometimes even sooner! Advanced hardware repairs or repairs that require custom ordered parts can take longer depending on the severity of the issue and duration of shipping. We take pride in having extremely fast turn-around and in many cases, we have fixed our customers computers on the spot for them.
IF I NEED MY JOB COMPLETED RIGHT AWAY, IS THAT POSSIBLE?
The computers that come into our office are worked on in a "first come first serve" basis. If your issue requires immediate attention, we offer a onetime per client Emergency Rush Service for an additional fee. This service lets you "cut the line" and we work to fix your computer immediately. If you require regular immediate repair, we suggest becoming a Contract Client or Managed Service Customer as opposed to Break Fix.
I'M INTERESTED IN GETTING A WEBSITE MADE, WHAT DO I NEED TO DO?
We do provide web design for our clients. Typically, we schedule a one-to-two-hour consultation service to discuss what your needs and wants are. Once the website is built, we will then move into SEO (Search Engine Optimization) which involves getting your site listed on multiple directory systems and integrating into Social Media platforms. The SEO portion is often more time consuming but is required if you want your site to be found. Remember new customers don't Google your company name when looking for a product or service.
I'M NOT EXACTLY SURE WHAT IS WRONG WITH MY DEVICE, CAN YOU STILL HELP ME IF I CAN'T EXPLAIN THE ISSUE?
When you bring in your computer to our office, we set it up right in front of you and go over all of the issues we can see. This way you can describe the problems you are having with the computer in the best way possible. We also comb through several different tools that tell us a lot about your computer which can diagnosis the issue. If you're getting a specific issue, we recommend snapping a photo of it with your smart phone and showing it to us during the Intake Process.
IF I CAN'T BE WITHOUT A COMPUTER WHILE MINE IS BEING FIXED, CAN YOU OFFER ME A LOANER?
Yes, we do provider loaner laptops. The loaner laptop must be signed for and a $150.00 deposit must be put down on the device. Once the device is returned the deposit is refunded.
HOW IS YOUR BUSINESS HANDLING COVD-19?
Bringing Your Tech to Life is following all current CDC and Government guidelines. While clients are dropping off or picking up their device in our shop, we are wearing a mask. We also ask our clients to wear a mask while they are in our office. After a client leaves, all surfaces that the client may have come in contact are sprayed with industrial quat disinfectant cleaners. Bringing Your Tech to Life has always wiped down devices with isopropyl alcohol before and after services, even before COVID-19.
For On-Site Services our technicians are wearing both masks and gloves. All supplies and tools brought into your home or business are cleaned with industrial quat disinfectant cleaners to prevent cross contamination between jobs. We ask all clients that if you or someone in your family is or has not felt well within the past 14 days to please reschedule.

Bringing Your Tech to Life services all major brands of game consoles. It is not our primary service but we’ve repaired over a hundred game consoles and we can fix yours too.
